Shirley Zardoost, DO (she/her)
Medical school: Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM)
Reasons for training at DHFM: I chose to train at DHFM because the program’s mission matches my goal to become a family physician who is involved in the community, experienced in osteopathic training, and because I want to be a part of the supportive and engaging community of residents and faculty. DHFM also matches my interests to further develop teaching skills and knowledge of ambulatory medicine.

Tom Roach, DO (HE/HIM)
Medical School: Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine
Reasons for training at DHFM: I chose to train at DHFM because while interviewing with Dr. McKenna, I had a great feeling about her as a future PD and the program overall. I really liked what I heard about the culture of the program from everyone I talked to. Also, I can really relate to the program’s goals and mission and how it aligns with my future goals as a family medicine doctor. I enjoy the program’s focus on outpatient care and community health while continuing my education in OMM.

Nick Hager, DO (HE/HIM) -- Recruitment Chair
Medical School: Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine
Reasons for training at DHFM: I chose to train at DHFM because my ultimate career goal has been to practice medicine in my hometown of Columbus, OH. I worked here prior to medical school for multiple years, and this is the hospital that originally sparked my interest in medicine. This will give me the perfect opportunity to give back to the community that has developed me into the physician I am today!

Brennan Uhrig, DO (HE/HIM) -- Recruitment Chair
Medical School: Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine
Reasons for training at DHFM: It was important to me to go somewhere with an osteopathic focus and a program that was filled with residents that all supported each other. When I rotated and interviewed at the program, I knew this was a place I could happily spend the next 3 years.
